Passenger dies on Alaska Airlines flight from Seattle to Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — News 2 has learned that a passenger has died on a flight bound for Nashville.

The body was removed from the Alaska Airlines plane at Nashville International Airport Monday afternoon. A viewer sent in video of the incident Monday night.

The Alaska Airlines flight arrived at Nashville International Airport around 3 p.m. Monday afternoon from Seattle, Washington.

The video shows coroners carrying a stretcher containing the body off the plane.

In a statement to News 2, an Alaska Airlines spokesman said, among other things, “Our hearts go out to the family and out of respect for their privacy, we will not be releasing any further details.”

There is no information on the identity of the deceased. The cause of death has not yet been released by the coroner.
