Body of missing Sacramento woman Kerina Blue found

The body of a missing 26-year-old Sacramento woman was found near Alta Sunday morning, authorities said. Kerina Blue’s body was found near the Green Valley Trail, the Placer County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday. The sheriff’s office told KCRA 3 that the death does not appear suspicious at this time. Around 1 a.m. on March 12, the dispatch center for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the Sacramento Police Department that Blue was missing, the sheriff’s office said. Blue has been listed as vulnerable due to a medical condition. Her last known whereabouts was on the Green Valley Trail in Alta as of Friday afternoon, the sheriff’s office said. The terrain is rugged and consists of dense forest and scrub. The Placer and Nevada County Sheriff’s Offices had 80 search and rescue personnel, K9s and helicopters searching for Blue until about 8 p.m. Saturday night. The search continued early Sunday morning.
